The Together Team

The course is led by Fr. Pat Rogers, c.p. and Angela O'Rourke, M.A. (Coordinator) with a team of trained counsellors and dedicated married couples, and is designed to help engaged couples prepare meaningfully for their marriage.

Patrick Rogers, Th.D. a lecturer in biblical studies (Milltown Institute in Dublin) maintains the website and the staffing rota, and conducts the course session dealing with marriage in civil law and Catholic doctrine; and aspects of the wedding celebration.

Angela O'Rourke, M.A. has taught 3rd-level courses on Christian Ministry, and on the Theology of Marriage. As well as being course coordinator (for bookings and telephone queries,) she leads our course session 2., on intimacy and relationship.

Team Members: The speakers at our first three sessions (1. Communication; 2. Sexuality; 3. Marriage in Law and Church) have trained in counselling; and session 4 (Life Together) on the lived experience of marriage, is given by selected married couples, who are good at communicating their honest experience of marriage.

The courses are run from Mount Argus, but are not actually held there

Hello there!

Two practical points to note, before contacting our office:

1. To book a course, you can download a booking form or phone me for one (01-298-4257). If my phone is on record mode, just leave your name and phone number, saying which of our available dates would best suit you. While we do try to take all engaged couples who phone us, early booking is advisable. Anyone who specifically wants a written confirmation of their booking should enclose an SAE with their booking form.

2. Please read our FAQs "Frequently Asked Questions" file, where you may find the information you need about the course. If you have further course-related questions, I shall be happy to answer them as best I can.
